Fisheries & Aquaculture Student Presentations at Puketeraki Marae
At 10.30 am on Monday the 15th of February all members of the community are welcome to the Puketeraki Marae to hear preliminary findings from University of Otago Aquaculture and Fisheries student research projects. Supported by members of the TMK team, University of Otago Staff, East Otago Taiāpure management committee and Karitane community eight separate student research projects will be presented which focus on developing survey and monitoring techniques around local marine issues.

Link between pāua densities & the invasive kelp species Undaria
Patiki (Flounder) Populations within the Waikouaiti Estuary
Waikouaiti Estuary/River Health & Eels
Tuatuas in the Taiāpure
Pāua accessibility within the Taiāpure
Adult & Juvenile pāua populations in the Huriawa Rahui
Blue Cod (rawaru) populations within the Taiāpure
Following presentations morning tea will be provided at the marae with opportunity to discuss research topics. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
